Bilateral Parapharyngeal Abscess Complicated with Trismus, Airway Obstruction and Bleeding

Bilateral parapharyngeal abscess is a very rare condition. Placing pressure on the airway both sides increases risk of respiratory arrest. Intubation cannot be performed due to trismus caused by infection in mastication muscles, and need create an emergency can only provided invasive means. The adjacency region major vessels their branches lead massive hemorrhages since erodes vascular wall. In case bilateral abscesses which resulted arrest trismus, we were able ensure safety using coniotomy subsequent tracheotomy. presence early postoperative period us remain constantly vigilant until full recovery patient terms clinical, laboratory radiological parameters.
